Position Details:
Activities Therapist 40 hours per week, Days Mercy Hospital Jefferson Festus, MO 63028Education:
Bachelor's degree and internship in related area required.Experience:
Experience working with patients with mental illness and chemical dependencyOther:
Individual must be knowledgeable of mental illness disorders and be able to provide appropriate therapeutic interventions that enable the patient's recovery. Skills in providing educational and group therapy interventions, assessment of patients psychosocial functioning, and knowledge of appropriate community resources.Preferred Experience:
Experience working with patients across the lifespan (pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric)Preferred Certifications:
Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS), Registered Art Therapist (ATR), Certified Music Therapist or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Why Mercy?
