An Art Therapist directs and coordinates recreational activities for people with disabilities or illness to help them improve their emotional and physical well-being, improve motor skills and increase confidence. Leads activities involving art, crafts, and similar activities. Assists patients with disabilities to learn to use public resources such as parks and public transportation, and integrate in the community. Works with people of all ages, in schools, nursing homes, clinics and other healthcare facilities, or in parks and recreation departments.

Job Description

Mental health practice is seeking an experienced and responsible therapist (LCMHC or LCSW) to join our team! In this role, you will work directly with our patient population to facilitate patients' recovery. Therapist Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular appointments with patients who wish to converse with a mental health professional
  • Establish positive and trusting relationships with patients
  • Implement various treatments and protocols to provide guidance and provide proper ongoing treatments
  • Record and maintain adequate notes about patient visits
  • Maintain all required licenses Therapist Requirements and Qualifications
  • Minimum of a Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work
  • Meet all necessary state licensure requirements - fully licensed
  • 2+ years of clinical experience, ideally working directly with patients
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Caring and Compassionate
