The clinician delivers evidence-based interventions that support the cognitive, physical, emotional, functional, and expressive needs of patients and families. Working collaboratively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, the therapist conducts assessments, implements treatment interventions, documents services, and supports continuity of patient care during staffing vacancies and leaves. Responsibilities Provides creative arts therapy assessments and interventions for assigned patient populations, including consult triage, care coordination, and treatment planning. Completes clinical documentation and maintains records in accordance with departmental, hospital, and regulatory standards. Participates in required departmental meetings and supervision activities, as applicable.
Additional Job Description Education and Certification:
Bachelor's degree in music therapy or music with an equivalency in music therapy, certification by the Certification Board for Music Therapists (MT-BC); or Master's degree in Art Therapy; Art Therapist registration (ATR-P, ATR, or ATR-BC) by the Art Therapy Credentials Board; or Master's degree in Dance/Movement Therapy; Dance/Movement Therapist registration (R-DMT or BC-DMT) by the Dance/Movement Therapy Certification Board.
