An Art Therapist directs and coordinates recreational activities for people with disabilities or illness to help them improve their emotional and physical well-being, improve motor skills and increase confidence. Leads activities involving art, crafts, and similar activities. Assists patients with disabilities to learn to use public resources such as parks and public transportation, and integrate in the community. Works with people of all ages, in schools, nursing homes, clinics and other healthcare facilities, or in parks and recreation departments.

Job Description

Position Overview:
Provive Wellness is seeking a Fee-for-Service Outpatient Clinician to provide group therapy to clients struggling with Mental Health (MH) and Substance Use Disorder (SUD) challenges at our Brentwood, Tennessee location. This offers flexibility, allowing clinicians to set their own schedules while ensuring high-quality, evidence-based care. Clinicians will also participate in transition/collaboration sessions with the previous provider to maintain continuity of care.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individual and group therapy to outpatient clients using evidence-based modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, ACT). Conduct clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with company and state regulations. Participate in transition/collaboration sessions to ensure seamless client care. Attend regular staff meetings and case consultations. Maintain ethical and professional standards in all clinical interactions.
Schedule & Compensation:
Flexible scheduling based on client availability. Evening availability is ideal. Fee-for-service pay structure - compensation is based on completed sessions.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education & Licensure:
Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required. Training in CBT/DBT and Motivational Interviewing is encouraged. Active license in TN (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent is ideal). Experience in creative arts; dance and movement/art/music is ideal.
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of experience providing individual therapy. Experience working with both Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder clients is required.
Skills & Attributes:
Strong clinical and documentation skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities. Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Comfortable using EMR systems for documentation.
