Athletic Trainer (Part-time) Temp Pool 2026 - 2027 at MiraCosta Community College Print Application Deadline 6/30/2027 11:55 PM Pacific Date Posted 7/1/2026 Contact Human Resources 760.795.6854 Number of Openings 1 Salary Single Rate 44.09 Per Hour Length of Work Year See Job Description Employment Type Part Time Job Summary Job Summary The Athletics Department is accepting applications to build a pool of Athletic Trainers for possible future temporary, hourly assignments. Individuals hired will be scheduled as needed. The department's director or designee will review applications throughout the school year as vacancies become available. Athletic trainers may be assigned to any campus or authorized facility. Assignments may include days, evenings, or weekends. Applications are valid through June 30, 2027, at which time they will expire. •Please note: This is a Nonexempt, "Extended-day" position, subject to possible fluctuations in daily working hours, and may be exempt from compensation for overtime in excess of eight (8) hours in one day. Hours worked in excess of forty (40) hours in a week period shall be compensated on an overtime basis.
RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT
MiraCosta College Board Policy 7800: Employee Residency requires all classified staff, administrators, and temporary/hourly short-term employees to maintain and permanently reside in a principal place of residence in the state of California that is within two-hundred (200) road miles from the employee's regularly assigned district worksite. The purpose of the policy is to promote efficiency and continuity throughout all campus administrative functions, provide students with high quality assistance and accessibility to all academic and campus services, ensure that students receive an engaging education, and respond to emerging student needs. The District may consider an individual request to temporarily reside outside of the State of California or outside the 200-mile limit on a case-by-case basis, not to exceed twelve consecutive months. Under direction, develop, coordinate and administer a comprehensive sports medicine program focused on prevention and care of athletic injuries related to intercollegiate sports; educate student athletes on injury prevention; administer treatment and rehabilitation to injured athletes; a Requirements / Qualifications For more information on Requirements/Qualifications, please contact the employer.
