Educates patients and caregivers on treatment plans, exercises, and home care activities. Monitors and documents patient progress, adjusting treatments as needed to achieve optimal outcomes. Communicates effectively with the physical therapist and other healthcare team members regarding patient status and treatment modifications. Ensures accurate and timely documentation of patient care in medical records. Utilizes knowledge of growth and development to provide age-appropriate care. Maintains compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines. Participates in performance improvement activities to enhance patient care quality. Provides education and support to patients, caregivers, and other healthcare providers as needed. Markets Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation programs within the hospital and community. Performs clinical evaluations, diagnoses, and provide emergency care for injuries and illnesses and interprets patient data to inform treatment decisions. Implements an individualized treatment plan of care utilizing Practice Standards and recommended techniques, insurance guidelines, and patient's needs based on the finding established in the Physical Therapist Evaluation. Modifies treatment plans as necessary based on ongoing assessments and patient progress in consultation with the physical therapist or provider Provides direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and other interventions. Other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Windows
- Must be able to read, write, and speak conversational
English Education:
- Bachelor's [Required]
Field of Study:
- in Athletic Training or a related field
Work Experience:
- 1+ in health care or related field [Preferred]
