  • Part-time, Full-time Job Summary Join the Axis Physiotherapy team as an Athletic Trainer and become a vital part of promoting athlete health, optimizing performance, and preventing injuries.
In this energetic role, you will assess, treat, and rehabilitate sports-related injuries while providing expert guidance on body mechanics, nutrition, and overall wellness. Your passion for sports medicine and physiology will help athletes of all levels stay active, healthy, and motivated to achieve their best. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments of athletes' injuries, focusing on anatomy knowledge and physiology to determine appropriate treatment plans. Develop and implement injury prevention strategies emphasizing body mechanics, sports medicine principles, and proper training techniques. Provide immediate care for acute injuries during practices or competitions, including first aid and emergency response coordination. Design personalized rehabilitation programs incorporating medical terminology understanding, nutrition advice, and physical therapy exercises. Educate athletes on injury prevention, proper nutrition, hydration strategies, and effective training methods to enhance performance. Collaborate with coaches, physicians, and other health professionals to ensure holistic athlete care. Maintain detailed records of treatments, progress notes, and injury reports in compliance with health standards. Experience Proven experience as an Athletic Trainer or in a similar sports medicine role with a strong foundation in anatomy knowledge and physiology. Demonstrated ability to apply health coaching techniques to motivate athletes towards healthier habits and injury prevention. Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to sports injuries and rehabilitation processes. Knowledge of body mechanics principles to guide proper movement patterns during training sessions. Experience working with diverse athletic populations across various sports disciplines is preferred. Certification as an Athletic Trainer or equivalent credential is highly desirable; ongoing professional development in sports medicine is a plus.
