Full-Time/Must speak English Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinical Athletic Trainer to join our chiropractic wellness and rehabilitation team. The Clinical Athletic Trainer will provide comprehensive patient care in a clinical setting while working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical assessment and rehabilitation skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Responsibilities will include evaluating musculoskeletal injuries, developing and implementing individualized rehabilitation programs, assisting with clinical procedures, and maintaining accurate patient documentation.
Key Responsibilities Patient Assessment:
Evaluate acute and chronic orthopedic and musculoskeletal injuries and conditions across a diverse patient population.
Rehabilitation:
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapeutic exercise and rehabilitation programs based on patient needs and treatment goals.
Clinical Support:
Provide a variety of appropriate therapeutic interventions. Assist physicians and other providers with clinical procedures, examinations, and patient education.
Patient Care:
Educate patients on injury prevention, rehabilitation exercises, treatment plans, home-care instructions, and safe return-to-activity guidelines.
Care Coordination:
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate treatment plans and monitor patient progress.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive patient records and electronic medical records (EMR) in accordance with organizational policies and professional standards.
Follow-Up:
Monitor patient response to treatment, communicate changes in condition or progress to the appropriate healthcare providers, and modify rehabilitation plans as directed.
Professional Practice:
Maintain current knowledge of athletic training, orthopedic rehabilitation, injury prevention, and evidence-based clinical practices.
Qualifications & Skills Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Athletic Training from an accredited college or university.
Certification:
Current Board of Certification (BOC) certification as an Athletic Trainer.
Licensure:
Current state Athletic Trainer license or eligibility to obtain licensure in the applicable state.
Life Support Certification:
Current CPR/AED certification; additional life-support certification may be required based on organizational standards.
Clinical Knowledge:
Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, orthopedic assessment, injury management, and rehabilitation principles.
Communication:
Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and patient-education skills.
Technology:
Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and standard clinical documentation systems.
Teamwork:
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
Professionalism:
Demonstrated commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, ethical practice, and high-quality clinical care. Preferred Qualifications Previous clinical experience in sports medicine, orthopedics, physical therapy, or rehabilitation. Familiarity with injury prevention, return-to-play/return-to-activity protocols, and evidence-based rehabilitation practices. Strong organizational and time-management skills.
