Assistant Athletic Trainer University of Tampa - 4.2 Tampa, FL Job Details Full-time 17 hours ago Benefits Free parking Disability insurance Flexible spending account Employee assistance program Pet insurance Qualifications Certified Athletic Trainer Bachelor's degree Full Job Description Position Details The University of Tampa's Athletic Department has a position available for an Assistant Athletic Trainer to provide athletic training services. This position reports to the head athletic trainer. Responsibilities 1. Evaluate, treat and provide rehabilitation of athletic injuries. 2. Review and document injuries. 3. Provide referrals for appropriate medical care. 4. Provide athletic training services on the field or court, at practices and events. 5. Manage insurance and other documentation necessary for proper medical care. Qualifications 1. Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred. 2. One year of NATABOC certified experience required. 3. Experience supervising and teaching student athletic trainers preferred. 4. Florida licensed or eligible. 5. Good oral, interpersonal and organizational skills needed as well as the ability to establish priorities and manage time wisely. 6. Ability to travel and work evenings, weekends and some holidays. -Ability to forge a working relationship with college level athletics and coaches. 7. Knowledge of or the ability to learn quickly The University of Tampa software programs such as Workday and Microsoft Office. 8. Willingness to embrace new technologies and innovative organizational practices.
