Job Description
American Hip Institute is a worldwide leader in the treatment of hip pain. Built on a platform of excellence and driven by research, we are a private, academic practice that has reinvented hip care. Physician Extenders are integral to our unique care model. American Hip Institute presents an exciting opportunity to join their team as an Athletic Trainer in a Physician Extender role. The AT Physician Extender delivers quality care by offering excellent customer service while participating in a team centered approach towards patient care. They exercise their skills in triage, taking patient histories, performing evaluations, providing instruction on exercise prescriptions, rehabilitation and general patient education. The AT Physician Extender will be working directly with our orthopedic surgeons and fellows facilitating patient care. AHI is looking for an energetic candidate that has the ability to multi-task. Critical thinking, effective communication and independent decision making skills are key factors to success in this role. The AT Physician Extender must be very organized and a team player as well as have a commitment to professional growth. The ideal candidate is committed to the continuous improvement of the patient experience which includes patient safety, quality of care and excellent service. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree required Certified by the National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification (NATABOC) is required In lieu of NATABOC certification, would also consider Personal Trainer Certification The American Hip Institute (AHI) is the first clinic of its kind, dedicated exclusively to providing cutting edge minimally invasive treatment for patients with hip pain. AHI's doctors have performed over 10,000 hip surgeries, including the largest series of successful hip arthroscopy procedures to be published in medical literature. Unique to the practice is the ability to provide a diagnosis in one day and to provide a one-stop resource for joint preservation, replacement, resurfacing, reconstruction, stem cell services and sports medicine in a concierge environment. The practice has the largest number of successful hip preservation outcomes in the world and is led by some of the top surgeons in the nation in this area of specialty.
