POSITION SUMMARY A
Clinical Navigator Facility Outreach is an athletic trainer responsible for assisting the KC Monarchs team in providing comprehensive care to athletes, including injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation. Working closely with the coaching staff, medical professionals, and team management, the AT ensures player health and performance are optimized throughout the season. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of sports medicine, and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with travel and nontraditional hours. During the off-season, this position will assist with clinic duties at one of our facilities.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY
Baseball Season Implement and direct medical care to players and staff at the affiliates within the scope that is outlined. Implement injury prevention programs at each affiliate in collaboration with the appropriate staff. Communicate progress, issues, plans, etc. for each player to appropriate parties to ensure consistency. Design and implement injury prevention programs tailored to individual athletes and team needs. Conduct on-field injury assessments and provide immediate care during practices, games, and training sessions. Develop and oversee rehabilitation programs to safely return players to full performance levels. Collaborate with physicians and other medical personnel for injury diagnosis and treatment plans. Maintain accurate and confidential records of injuries, treatments, and player progress. Ensure compliance with league and organizational health and safety protocols. Travel with the team for games and provide ongoing support during road trips. Off Season Provide additional Athletic Training services to Sano's partnering schools or associations. Provide care to Sano Orthopedic patients in the clinical setting, including but not limited to: Room patients Schedule follow-ups Prepare and record charts appropriately within the EMR Employ skill in patient care and communication Fit Durable Medical Equipment (DME) for patients as prescribed Apply and remove casts/splints Remove staples and stitches Assist physician with preparing and administering injections Prepare for and assist physician with minor procedures Patient education Utilize company Inventory Management System Manage inventory and stocking of clinical supplies and durable medical equipment (DME) Maintain sterilization of clinical instruments Attend mandatory full staff and clinical meetings Adhere to all company policies and procedures Engage primary care offices, athletic trainers, physical therapists, and other referral sources in an effort to increase awareness in the community Perform other related duties as required or assigned SKILLS Strong organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Understanding of Internal Classification of Diseases (ICD) and Common Procedural Terminology (CPT) coding Proficient knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy Electronic medical record experience (eClinical Works preferred) Highly detailed and accurate, with excellent organizational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; expresses thoughts and ideas clearly, both verbally and in writing; establishes trust and confidence quickly Excellent skills in Microsoft Office (primarily Word, Excel, PowerPoint and TEAMS). Must be computer-literate with the ability to learn new software applications

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Athletic Training Required Certified Athletic Trainer through the Board of Certification, Inc. (ATC) or applicable accrediting body Previous experience working in sports medicine, preferably in baseball or a similar team environment. State Licensed (or eligible for License in MO and KS) if applicable Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
