Job Description

Beth Tfiloh Dahan Community School seeks a dedicated and student-centered Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) to join our Athletic Department beginning August 2026 . Beth Tfiloh is a vibrant Jewish community school serving students from preschool through high school. Our athletics program includes 40 interscholastic teams , with more than half of our student body participating in at least one sport. We are committed to providing a positive, safe, and competitive athletic experience that supports the physical, social, and emotional development of our student-athletes. Reporting directly to the Athletic Director , the Certified Athletic Trainer will oversee the sports medicine needs of Middle School and High School student-athletes and serve as an essential member of the Athletics Department. Primary Responsibilities Provide injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation services for student-athletes. Coordinate and monitor rehabilitation programs to support safe return-to-play. Manage and implement concussion protocols and return-to-learn/return-to-play procedures. Communicate effectively with parents, physicians, coaches, school personnel, and student-athletes regarding injuries and recovery plans. Monitor athlete medical eligibility and maintain appropriate health and participation records. Maintain and manage athletic training and first aid supplies. Provide athletic training coverage for all home athletic contests and events. Travel to select postseason competitions and tournaments as needed. Assist in the implementation, review, and maintenance of emergency action plans and other athlete safety protocols. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in athletic training, Sports Medicine, Exercise Science, or a related field Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) Current Maryland athletic trainer licensure (or ability to obtain prior to employment) Current CPR/AED certification Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively with coaches, administrators, families, and healthcare providers Preferred Experience working with middle school and high school student-athletes Experience managing concussion protocols and rehabilitation programs in a school setting Experience in secondary school athletics Preference will be given to candidates with experience working in a school-based athletic training environment. Schedule Expectations This position follows the school calendar but requires flexibility to support the athletic program. The Certified Athletic Trainer will be expected to work regular after-school and evening hours during athletic seasons and occasional weekends for contests, tournaments, and post-season events.
