What You'll Do Primary responsibilities will be at a local area high school with cross-coverage as needed throughout Novant Health facilities and on-site athletic training coverage at sporting events. Evaluates, plans, directs, documents, and administers programs of athletic training and rehabilitation. Performs supervisory duties and participates in continuing education. Works closely with other disciplines and specialties within the department and facility. Communicates with physicians, referral sources, and other clinical staff and coordinates athlete's schedule, treatment programs, discharge planning, and recommends solutions to athlete care problems. Acts under the supervision of a physician and must adhere to the Protocols and guidelines as required by the licensing agency. The protocols must be written in collaboration with the supervising physician and reviewed annually. The athletic trainer will also promote Novant Health through outreach and education for health and wellness in the community.
What We're Looking For Education:
4 Year / Bachelor's Degree, r equired. Graduate from an accredited athletic training program, required. Graduate Degree, preferred.
Experience:
2 years, preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
Current AT licensure in appropriate state with the ability to acquire additional state licenses as required prior to first day of employment, required. Successfully pass BOC exam, required. Hold or ability to hold AHA BLS First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor certification, required. Hold or ability to hold CSCS, PES, BFR, Dry Needling or similar, preferred.
Additional Skills Required:
Excellent Customer Service, Written and Oral Communication, basic computer application skills, and ability to multitask. Why Choose Novant Health?
