Job Description

We are a privately-owned outpatient physical therapy and sports performance clinic with two locations in Greenville NC, and Morehead City, NC. Our primary focus is to live through our motto "Together Stronger" to serve the athletes and active population of our region. We are able to provide comprehensive care plans with our multi-disciplinary team approach that includes; physical therapy, athletic training, personal fitness, sports performance, Pilates, yoga, and recovery services (assisted stretching, dry needling, cryotherapy, and more). As of 2022, we have partnered with East Carolina University as the Official Physical Therapy Provider of ECU Athletics and provide services to all their student-athletes. We are looking to expand our team of Athletic Trainers to assist with our growing need for in-clinic patient care, recovery services and outreach partnerships/events! We take pride in growing our Athletic Trainers personally and professionally and continually invest in our Athletic Trainers, by providing paid CEU's and access to professional conferences and symposiums. Our Athletic Trainers also have the ability to provide coverage at: Pitt Community College Greenville Yard Gnomes (collegiate baseball team part of the coastal league) Little League Softball World Series ECU Athletics Camps/Tournaments USA Rugby and Gymnastics Sponsored Events Local Community Athletic events and more!
Clinical and Outreach Responsibilities:
Recognize, manage and rehabilitate injuries to professional, amateur and recreational athletes Work alongside Physical Therapists, Physical Therapy Assistants, Sports Performance Coaches and fellow Athletic Trainers to provide comprehensive rehabilitation and wellness services to patients while maintaining appropriate documentation. Develop rehabilitation programs, perform data entry/record keeping, assist with cleaning/restocking respective facilities, and monitoring patient schedules. Triage patients/athletes based on assessment findings, and determine the need for a referral to the appropriate medical or wellness professional both in clinic and at outreach partnerships/events. Act as a liaison between physicians, athletic directors, coaches, athletes, parents and other medical personnel to appropriately manage, educate and return athletes back to play/activity including concussion in accordance with North Carolina State Law. Maintain a medical file on each athlete and act as a liaison between the physician and the athlete and/or athlete's parent Conduct inventory of supplies and equipment, and create a bid for approval at partnership schools as needed prior to start of the fall season athletics. Actively participate in weekly staff meetings.
