Certified Athletic Trainer Upstate Orthopedics - 3.1 East Syracuse, NY Job Details Full-time From $23 an hour 7 hours ago Benefits Free parking Health savings account Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Flexible spending account Tuition reimbursement Paid time off Employee assistance program Vision insurance Qualifications CPR Certification DME Certified Athletic Trainer BLS Certification Bachelor's degree Epic AED Certification Full Job Description Certified Athletic Trainer Job Description Position Responsibilities Provide skilled, compassionate support in casting and splinting, ensuring patients feel comfortable and confident throughout their care Perform dressing changes and suture removal with a gentle, reassuring approach Guide patients and caregivers through the care and maintenance of casts, splints, dressings, and durable medical equipment Fit patients with appropriate DME and offer clear, supportive instruction tailored to their needs Use Epic EMR and
BREG DME
Inventory systems with accuracy and ease to keep patient care running smoothly Navigate billing and insurance processes while anticipating the needs of both patients and providers in a busy clinical environment Occasionally assist clinical staff by rooming patients, taking vital signs, and helping create a welcoming care experience Support efficient patient flow by coordinating care with warmth, clarity, and attention to detail Uphold patient confidentiality and maintain full compliance with HIPAA regulations Occasionally provide evening coverage for OrthoNOW of Syracuse Offer intermittent and infrequent athletic event coverage for local high school games and tournaments Must have excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as critically thinking/problem solving skills on the go. Requirements Current Athletic Training Certification Active New York State Athletic Training License Current CPR and AED certification Schedule Full‑time, Monday through Friday, hours vary between 7:30am-5:30pm.
