Professional Position Summary:
This full-time position carries a 10-month obligation and will be responsible for providing proper and quality athletic training services to all student-athletes as needed. Duties may include but are not limited to; practice and game/competition coverage, assisting with the development and oversight of strength and conditioning programs, and maintenance of injury reports. The Enrollment and Student Success division supports a student's entire collegiate experience from the point of admission through to graduation. We partner with students, faculty and staff to provide a network of opportunities and services that lead to student success. Collectively, the division of Enrollment and Student Success positively influences the health, safety and well-being of the student body. The department of Athletics & Recreation subscribes to the philosophy that athletics complements the total education experience of our students. We allow multiple ways for students to compete or participate in a variety of quality athletic programs consistent with the overall educational mission of SUNY Plattsburgh. Responsibilities:
Assisting the Head Athletic Trainer with practice and contest coverage, general training room services, travel to cover away contests, and strength and conditioning of student-athletes. The Assistant Athletic Trainer will also assist with the purchase of materials and supplies. Serve as the primary Certified Athletic Trainer for women's hockey and provide assistance with non-traditional lacrosse, track and other sports on an as needed basis. Special Instructions to
