Job Summary:
Proficient in casting and splinting applications and associated procedures Proficient in dressing changes, associated applications and suture removal Consistently orders and manages casting supplies to ensure adequate inventory Educate patients and caregivers of specific care related to casts, splints, dressings, and durable medical equipment Maintain appropriate levels of casting and splinting supplies Fit patients and give appropriate instruction on a variety of DME Familiar and proficient in EPIC EMR and
BREG DME
Dispensing software systems Knowledgeable and familiar with billing and insurance procedures and is capable of anticipating doctors and patients needs while performing on a multi task level Assists patient care staff with rooming patients and performing vital signs as needed and available Facilitates patient flow by coordinating patient care in a timely and efficient manner Maintains patient confidentiality and complies with all HIPAA rules and regulations Available for Ortho Now evening coverage as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree, NYS Athletic Trainer license and certification by the BOC (Board of Certification). Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required.
