Overview We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable 1099 Fitness / Sports Performance Trainer to lease our gym to work with clients. This role involves delivering specialized training programs designed to enhance athletic performance, improve biomechanics, and promote overall fitness. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sports coaching, physiology, and program design, with a passion for helping clients reach their fitness goals safely and effectively. Duties Design and implement customized sports performance and fitness training programs tailored to individual client needs and goals. Provide coaching on biomechanics, body mechanics, and proper exercise techniques to optimize performance and reduce injury risk. Conduct assessments of clients' physical condition, including physiology, anatomy, and movement patterns. Ensure safety during training sessions by applying first aid, CPR, AED operation, and manual handling protocols as needed. Maintain comprehensive records of client progress and adapt programs accordingly to ensure continuous improvement. Promote fitness customer service by engaging clients professionally, addressing questions, and encouraging ongoing participation. Qualifications Proven experience in sports coaching, personal training, or fitness instruction within health clubs or gym environments. Strong knowledge of biomechanics, physiology, anatomy, and body mechanics relevant to athletic training. Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation, first aid, and liability insurance is required. Demonstrated ability in program design tailored to diverse client needs with an emphasis on safety and effectiveness. Excellent coaching skills with the ability to motivate individuals and groups while maintaining professionalism. Experience with fitness sales or gym experience is preferred to support client engagement and retention efforts. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely during training sessions while adhering to manual handling guidelines.
