Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Certified Athletic Trainer in the Sheridan area for the Tongue River High School, where your expertise will empower athletes and active individuals to perform at their best while minimizing injury risks. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive injury prevention, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation services. Your proactive approach will foster a safe environment for athletes of all levels, ensuring they receive timely and effective care. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on athletic performance and overall well-being through your specialized skills and dedication. Duties Conduct thorough injury assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for athletes and active clients Implement injury prevention programs tailored to specific sports or activities to reduce the risk of injuries Provide immediate care for acute injuries during practices or competitions, including first aid and emergency response when necessary Design and supervise rehabilitation exercises to facilitate safe return-to-play or activity resumption Educate athletes, coaches, and staff on proper techniques, injury prevention strategies, and health maintenance practices Maintain detailed medical records, treatment logs, and progress reports in compliance with legal and organizational standards Collaborate with healthcare professionals such as physicians, physical therapists, and other specialists to ensure comprehensive care Skills Certification as a Licensed Athletic Trainer from an accredited organization (e.g., NATA Board of Certification) Strong knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics, sports medicine, and injury management protocols Excellent communication skills to effectively educate and motivate athletes and team members Ability to perform under pressure with quick decision-making during emergencies or acute injury situations Proficiency in using medical assessment tools, rehabilitation equipment, and electronic health records systems Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development in sports medicine and athletic training practices This role is perfect for motivated individuals passionate about athlete health and performance.
