During your externship with Torrance Audiology Center, you will work alongside Dr. Rebecca Hu to advance your skills with testing (audiologic and VNG), results interpretation, counseling and follow-up techniques, cochlear implants and the basics of the insurance billing process.

Yes Externship site expects the extern to have mastered these skills before they begin their clinical externship: Conduct audiologic evaluation, impedance testing, OAEs, VNG, and basic interpretation of results. Externship site expects the extern to learn/demonstrate these skills during their clinical externship: Refine testing skills, differential diagnosis, develop individualized treatment plans, hearing aid services, pediatric audiologic evaluation, CI candidacy evaluation, and insurance billing.
