Want to join an exciting, mission-driven startup focused on enhancing hearing aid performance in challenging environments and meeting more patient needs than ever before? Fortell Research is looking to hire a highly motivated, forward-thinking Clinic Director to lead and launch a brand-new clinic in Boston, bringing groundbreaking hearing technology to Washington DC and surrounding area residents for the first time. This is a unique opportunity to play a foundational role in opening a new clinic, shaping clinical operations, and delivering best-in-class care to Fortell Research's first patients in that area. You will work closely with operations and product teams and serve as a key clinical leader as the company expands its footprint.
Responsibilities :
Conduct comprehensive diagnostic audiological testing. Provide personalized consultations to clients, explaining test results and options in a clear, empathetic, and approachable manner. Recommend and sell Fortell Research hearing aids tailored to individual client needs. Fit, program, and adjust hearing aids, ensuring optimal performance and comfort. Offer ongoing support and maintenance for hearing aid users, including troubleshooting and repairs. Comfortable performing real-ear measurements (REM) and test box measures to verify and validate hearing aid fittings. Document all client interactions and outcomes notes in an accurate and timely manner. Educate clients and families, as applicable, on hearing loss management and device care. Maintain a clean and organized clinic environment, practicing proper infection control. Stay updated on the latest advancements in audiology and hearing aid technology. Lead clinic operations, including inventory management, scheduling, clinic workflows, and client follow-up, with responsibility for establishing best practices in a new clinic environment. Meet key performance indicators related to conversion, return and upgrade rates, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction, ensuring high-quality client care and strong business performance. Share clinical insights and learnings with management, operations, and product teams to collaborate as a key partner in evolving and enhancing the Fortell Research patient experience. Serve as a clinical leader and ambassador for Fortell Research as the company introduces its innovative technology to the local market. What you'll bring: Must hold an active Washington DC Hearing Aid Dispenser and Audiology License. 6+ years of experience dispensing and fitting hearing aids for adult clients. Availability during weekday business hours to maintain a consistent schedule for client appointments, as well as the ability to participate in at least once-a-month weekend coverage. Ability and willingness to travel to Fortell Research headquarters in New York City for initial onboarding and periodic training, as needed, to ensure clinical excellence and alignment with company standards. Comfort with technology and proficiency in managing and learning new hearing aid software, CRM systems, and other customer communication platforms to enhance client care and clinic efficiency. Demonstrated strong sales acumen in a clinical setting, balancing excellent patient care with driving high conversions without being pushy. Passionate, caring, and empathetic, with a strong commitment to delivering outstanding patient experiences. Enthusiasm for critical thinking and problem solving. Clear and concise communication skills. Ability to take clinical experience and apply it in new, innovative ways. Ability to work independently while also collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
