Job Description

Kids Are Our Everything. Department 10273 Audiology Pay Range $37.30 - $62.16
Work Hours & Location Schedule:
PRN, Monday-Friday only
Hours:
8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (last patient typically scheduled between 2:30-3:00 PM; opportunity to leave early if all patients are completed)
Coverage Needs:
Daily coverage to support staffing gaps due to planned leaves
Primary Locations:
Fairfax, VA Washington, DC (Takoma)
Additional Coverage:
May float to ENT clinic locations (e.g., main hospital/MPV or other ENT clinic sites) as needed Strongest need currently in Virginia and DC; Maryland coverage is stable

In this role, you will support our outpatient ENT practices by performing routine audiologic evaluations in a collaborative, fast-paced clinical environment. Our team is focused on maintaining access to care and continuity for patients, particularly during periods of increased coverage needs, while upholding the highest standards of clinical excellence. About the
Role:
Under the direction of the Audiologist IV, the Audiologist I is responsible for evaluating the hearing of children and providing therapy for patients with hearing loss. Minimum Education Master's Degree (Required) Or Clinical Doctorate in Audiology (Required) Minimum Work Experience 0 years Will consider recent Master's/Aud Level graduates. (Required) 2 years (Preferred) Required Skills/Knowledge Experience in the evaluation, remediation and management of children with hearing loss. Required Licenses and Certifications Audiologist Must be licensed in Washington, DC, Maryland and Virginia (in V A, Hearing Aid Dispenser's license also required) (Required) Certificate of Clinical Competency in Audiology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (Required) Functional Accountabilities Clinical Evaluation and Hearing Aid Assessment Conduct audiological evaluations and hearing aid evaluations in an efficient manner using the appropriate test procedures. Conducts parent counseling and makes recommendations Counsel parents and children regarding test findings and recommendations. Make all appropriate referrals. Clinical caseload management Maintain a caseload comparable to other clinical audiologists. Equipment Maintenance Calibrate and troubleshoot equipment as needed. Safety Speak up when team members appear to exhibit unsafe behavior or performance . Continuously validate and verify information needed for decision making or documentation . Stop in the face of uncertainty and takes time to resolve the situation . Demonstrate accurate, clear and timely verbal and written communication . Actively promote safety for patients, families, visitors and co-workers . Attend carefully to important details - practicing Stop, Think, Act and Review in order to self-check behavior and performance The disclosed salary range includes the minimum and maximum rates within which Children's National believes an individual's base pay rate will fall for this position. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the maximum of the pay range. The exact pay rate for this position will be based on a variety of factors in alignment with the Children's National compensation philosophy.
