Yes Externship site expects the extern to have mastered these skills before they begin their clinical externship: Comprehensive audiologic evaluation, some hearing aid troubleshooting, real ear measurement (set up) Externship site expects the extern to learn/demonstrate these skills during their clinical externship: Patient relationship management, exposure to variety of hearing loss-complicated cases, hearing evaluations, assessments, diagnostics, fitting, function in a fast-paced office, acoustic reflex, and tinnitus testing.
