Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Hearing Aid Specialist and Audiologist. This is a solo ENT practice. Our current beloved audiologist is retiring after five years with us. In this role, you will conduct comprehensive hearing assessments, provide personalized hearing aid fittings, and deliver exceptional patient care. Your clinical knowledge and compassionate communication skills will ensure every patient receives tailored solutions that meet their unique auditory needs. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with hearing challenges while working in a collaborative and innovative environment. Responsibilities Perform detailed hearing assessments, including hearing screenings, diagnostic evaluations, and specialized testing such as vestibular testing and cochlear implant evaluations. Conduct thorough medical history reviews and collaborate with otolaryngologists to support healthcare diagnoses related to hearing and balance disorders. Fit, program, and fine-tune hearing aids using advanced hearing aid programming tools to optimize performance for each patient. Educate patients on hearing aid usage, maintenance, and troubleshooting to promote optimal device performance and satisfaction. Communicate effectively with clients to explain test results, treatment options, and procedural steps while maintaining a high standard of customer service. Qualifications Proven experience in clinical audiology or as a hearing aid specialist with a solid understanding of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and audiological diagnostics. Proficiency in hearing assessments, hearing aid fitting, programming, and specialized testing such as vestibular assessments or pediatrics-related evaluations. Strong knowledge of otolaryngology procedures and aseptic techniques necessary for safe clinical practice. Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex information to patients of all ages while demonstrating empathy and professionalism. Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple patients efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while also demonstrating leadership qualities when needed.
