Hearing Associates, Inc. is a busy private practice in the northern suburbs of Chicago that offers a single externship opportunity. We have four audiologists (ASHA certified) on staff that the student will rotate between throughout the duration of their externship. This externship offers extensive experience in adult audiologic care. Students are also given the opportunity to learn about practice management as they become a member of the team during their externship. Some of the services we provide in addition to standard audiometry include: speech-in-noise testing, ultra-high frequency audiometry, immittance testing, DPOAEs, tinnitus evaluations, cochlear implant evaluation and programming, hearing aid demonstrations, hearing aid fittings (mostly adults, rarely children), real ear and electroacoustic analysis, monthly audiologic rehabilitation classes, and cerumen management.
