Job Description

The Department of Otolaryngology Division of Audiology at the University of Kentucky Medical Center offers a full-time Au.

D. externship position. We are seeking highly motivated candidates eager to engage in a dynamic and rigorous clinical training environment. This externship provides a comprehensive clinical experience with both pediatric and adult populations in a fast-paced medical setting. Students will gain hands on experience in diagnostics, hearing aids, cochlear implants, auditory evoked potentials, auditory processing disorder evaluations, and vestibular testing (CDP, rotary chair, VNG, v
HIT, VEMP

Yes Externship site expects the extern to have mastered these skills before they begin their clinical externship: Students should be comfortable completing a comprehensive audiometric evaluation. A previous rotation through an ENT clinic is required before start date. Externship site expects the extern to learn/demonstrate these skills during their clinical externship: Students will gain confidence in clinical skills related to all aspects of audiological services listed above.
