About the Opportunity
JOB SUMMARY
The part-time audiologist will work in the Speech-Language and Hearing Center (SLHC) at Northeastern University in Boston, MA. The audiologist's responsibilities will be to conduct adult audiological evaluations (i.e., pure tones and speech audiometry, tympanometry, acoustic reflexes, OAE's) for the Veterans Evaluation Services Program, to dispense amplification and musician hearing protection (i.e., consultation, selection, fitting, and troubleshooting of devices), and to occasionally supervise graduate speech-language pathology students conducting hearing screenings in local schools. Audiologists within the SLHC will provide services following the policies & procedures of the SLHC, ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, maintain practice licensure and certification, complete all documentation, and participate in any programs or initiatives required by the Clinical Director or regulatory agencies (e.g. billing requirements, performance improvement activities). This position will be non-benefits eligible.
QUALIFICATIONS
Completion of at least a Master's degree in Audiology ASHA CCC-A and Massachusetts license to practice Audiology Minimum of 3 years of clinical practice Strong interpersonal skills, customer service skills, and orientation to client-centered practice
