Job Description

Category Schools - Audiologist Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic school-based role where your expertise in audiology will make a meaningful difference for Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students. This onsite contract position offers a unique 12-week assignment during a maternity leave, providing vital support through the fall term. You'll collaborate within an educational environment, working closely with multidisciplinary teams and families to ensure outstanding care for students with hearing needs.
Key Qualifications:
Doctor of Audiology (Au.

D.) or Master's degree in Audiology required Current Michigan Audiology License Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) Preferably 3-5 years' experience in pediatric and/or educational audiology
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive audiological and educational DHH evaluations to assess students' auditory and communication abilities Partner with clinical audiologists and ENT specialists to coordinate medical documentation for DHH eligibility and Hearing Assistive Technology (HAT) clearances Support families in following up on clinical recommendations and ensure clear communication with all stakeholders Translate evaluation results for educators, families, and support teams, offering guidance on the learning impact of hearing loss Consult with teachers, school staff, and families to address the unique educational challenges for DHH students Engage with the Early On Team, including occasional home visits to support birth-to-three-year-old children This is a rewarding chance to work in a collaborative, supportive educational setting and contribute to the growth and learning of students throughout the district.
