Job Description

Category Schools - Audiologist Job Type Contract A rewarding contract opportunity is available for an experienced audiologist passionate about supporting Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students. This short-term role will be instrumental in covering a 12-week maternity leave, working onsite throughout the district and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional services from August 31, 2026, through November 24, 2026—right up to the Thanksgiving break.
What You'll Bring:
Doctor of Audiology (Au.

D.) or Master's degree in Audiology Active Michigan Audiology License Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) Ideally, 3-5 years of experience in pediatric and/or educational audiology Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with students, families, and district teams
Your Role:
Deliver audiological and educationally relevant DHH evaluations for students, assessing auditory and communication skills Partner with clinical audiologists and ENT providers to secure necessary medical documentation for DHH eligibility and Hearing Assistive Technology (HAT) clearances Provide consultative support and guidance to families, including follow-ups based on clinical recommendations Translate complex evaluation findings into actionable information for teachers, parents, and education professionals Advise staff and families on the educational impact of hearing loss and participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) planning Join the Early On Team to serve DHH children from birth to age three, including conducting home visits as needed This position guarantees meaningful engagement with students and families, a diverse array of responsibilities, and the chance to make a tangible difference within a supportive school district.
