Category Schools - Audiologist Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic educational setting for a rewarding, short-term contract supporting Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students. This onsite opportunity offers the chance to make a real difference during a 12-week maternity leave, serving students across a diverse district for the fall semester. Your expertise will be valued as you conduct comprehensive audiological assessments and educationally relevant DHH evaluations to better understand students' auditory and communication strengths. Collaborate closely with clinical audiologists and ENT providers to streamline the sharing of medical reports essential for DHH eligibility and HAT clearances. Act as a key liaison for families, assisting them with clinical recommendations and supporting them throughout the process. You'll play an important role in the academic journey of students by interpreting evaluation outcomes for staff and families, consulting with teachers about the educational impact of hearing loss, and serving as a resource to support teams. Participation with the Early On Team gives you the opportunity to provide continuity of care for the youngest learners, including home visits when appropriate.
Key Qualifications:
Doctor of Audiology (Au.
D.) or Master's Degree in Audiology required Valid Michigan Audiology License Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) Minimum 3-5 years of experience in pediatric and/or educational audiology preferred
