Job Description

Come join our team in beautiful NC! Our 3 private practice clinic locations (Smithfield, Clayton and Goldsboro) are located 30 minutes from the Raleigh area, 2 hours from the beach and 3 hours from the mountains. The 4th year would have the opportunity to work at each clinic location and experience the high-energy, dynamic nature of private practice audiology. We are a team of 13 employees, 5 of which are Audiologists. It is important for us to have a team who enjoys what they do. We work hard to make sure that we provide a positive work environment. We are looking for a 4th Year Extern applicant who takes initiative, is inspired to learn, is a good listener and passionate for our field. We want someone who could thrive in a private practice setting. A strong work ethic is crucial and willing the applicant must be willing to be an integral part of our team. We feel this position will allow a 4th Year Extern to have a well-rounded experience of learning the ins and outs of private practice but also the ability to see most of what audiology has to offer. We encourage all employees to participate in all areas of the practice in which they are interested and those in which they have a skillset that could benefit the practice. From advertising ideas to clinic financials to creating new processes and procedures, our culture allows all our team members to contribute to the success of the business. We are very involved in our community and do tons of seminars and presentations to local groups. Applicants would be welcome to participate in these events initially and eventually be asked to help lead them. This is a unique opportunity to learn more than just the clinical aspects of private practice.
Our Services Include:
Adult comprehensive hearing evaluations (rarely seeing pediatrics) Hearing aids (all manufacturers) Cochlear implant evaluations, programming, activations (all manufacturers) Osseointegrated devices (all manufacturers) Tinnitus evaluations and management Cerumen removal (tools and irrigation) Videonystagmography Testing (VNG)
ABR, OAE, VEMP
We also provide a great deal of private practice experience, including: Community outreach: educational seminars involvement and presentations Marketing experience/social media advertising Collaboration with local physicians and specialists Financial aspects of operating a private practice The level of supervision will depend on the extern's level of independence for various types of appointments. The extern will start with observation and lead into his/her own schedule once confident and trained. An individualized plan of skill development is developed for the extern and regular meetings will review the extern's progress over the course of the 12 months. The salary is set and paid each month. The profit-sharing component is calculated based on the entire clinic's performance and revenue. The profit-sharing is also paid each month.
