Audiologist - RWJBarnabas Health At RWJBarnabas Health, Audiologists play an essential role in providing comprehensive hearing and balance services to patients of all ages. As a member of our Audiology Department at the New Brunswick Campus, you will perform diagnostic audiologic and vestibular evaluations, provide hearing aid services, and counsel patients and families regarding diagnostic findings and treatment options. Working collaboratively with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals, you will help ensure accurate assessment, appropriate treatment recommendations, and high-quality patient-centered care. A typical day for an Audiologist may include:
  • Administering comprehensive diagnostic audiologic evaluations for patients of all ages using appropriate clinical procedures, techniques, and equipment.
  • Administering comprehensive vestibular evaluations to assess patients with dizziness, balance concerns, and other vestibular disorders.
  • Performing hearing aid evaluations and making individualized recommendations based on patients' hearing needs, communication goals, lifestyle, and preferences.
  • Providing hearing aid fittings and follow-up care to ensure appropriate device performance, patient comfort, and benefit.
  • Counseling patients and/or their families regarding diagnostic findings, treatment recommendations, hearing loss, vestibular conditions, and available treatment options.
  • Educating patients and families regarding hearing health, amplification, communication strategies, follow-up recommendations, and hearing conservation.
  • Collaborating with physicians and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support comprehensive patient care.
  • Completing accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with departmental policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participating in required departmental meetings, training, continuing education, and professional development activities.
  • Providing compassionate, patient-centered care while representing RWJBarnabas Health with professionalism and clinical excellence. This role might be for you:

To Be Considered:
To be considered for this opportunity, you must meet the following criteria:
    Education:
    Master's or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited audiology program.
      Licensure:
      Current and unrestricted New Jersey state licensure in Audiology required.
        Certification:
        Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association required.
          Experience:
          Previous experience providing diagnostic audiologic evaluations, vestibular assessments, hearing aid evaluations, fittings, and follow-up care is preferred.
            Skills:
            Demonstrated knowledge of diagnostic audiology and vestibular evaluation techniques, hearing aid technology and fitting, patient and family counseling, clinical documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
              Schedule:
