May participate in teaching, program development and/or other advanced Audiologists duties. Serves as a role model for junior level staff and students. What You Will Do Patient evaluation, interpretation of findings, and management Patient treatment Documentation Supervision & teaching Equipment use and maintenance Advanced Audiologist duties Additional Responsibilities Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards. For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation. Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace. Education Doctorate Degree in Audiology (AuD or PhD) (Required) Work Experience 3+ years of full-time equivalent experience. (Required) and 1+ years of experience in a medical setting with adult and pediatric patients. (Required) Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Fundamental knowledge and the ability to apply the principles and practices related to Audiology, appropriate to the developmental or chronological age of patients on caseload. (Required proficiency) Advanced expertise and demonstrated ability is in one or more of the following areas: programming & dispensing digital hearing aids, OAEs, ENGs, ABRs, ECOGs, VEMPS, Cochlear implant programming and management. (Required proficiency) Possess the ability and demeanor to teach, communicate and role model advanced clinical skills to the benefit of patients, co-workers, residents and students. (Required proficiency) Licenses and Certifications ABA Certification (Preferred) Licensed by the State of Ohio to practice Audiology or eligible for state licensure. (Required) and Must have Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-A).
