Job Description

Chattanooga Based Audiologist Ready to make a lasting impact in a nonprofit environment? The Speech & Hearing Center is looking for an audiologist who will be responsible for diagnostic hearing evaluations, as well as hearing aid dispensing and follow-up care.
Qualifications:
Au.

D. or Master's degree in audiology ASHA certificate of clinical competence Current hearing aid dispensing and audiology licensure Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, including strong customer service mindset Solid computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office business suite Proficiency with variety of hearing aid manufacturer software and hardware Proven track record in hearing aid sales Connection to the mission of serving those with hearing and/or communication disorders
Responsibilities Include:
Provide comprehensive diagnostic hearing evaluations. Conduct vestibular and balance assessments for patients across the lifespan, as appropriate Analyze test findings and make recommendations based on the customer's needs. Maintains accurate patient records noting appropriate background information, responses and progress. Provides written reports and progress notes and identifies differential diagnosis. Recommend and dispense assistive listening and hearing solutions Educate patients in how to use and maintain the hearing aid devices, provide demonstrations and information Collaborate with interdisciplinary providers to support diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up care Educate and support patients and families regarding hearing health, hearing loss, balance disorders, and next steps in care Make follow-up calls to patients to ensure satisfaction with their assistive listening and hearing device Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards Collaborate effectively with management and support team as well as partner organizations
