Direct mentorship and supervision in cochlear implants, vestibular assessments, and auditory processing disorders Increased clinical independence in hearing evaluations and hearing aid appointments Exposure to a broad patient population across the lifespan and varied clinical experiences

Compensation:

Paid hourly, up to 37.5 hours per week. Not eligible for benefits or overtime. Responsibilities Externs will actively participate in a variety of clinical services, including: Electrophysiological testing Auditory processing disorder evaluations and therapy Cochlear implant evaluations and programming Adult and pediatric hearing evaluations Adult and pediatric hearing aid fittings and management Hearing aid specification verification Access-to-care programs Assignments will consider the student's learning goals and the clinic's service needs.
