Job Description

Job Purpose:
Allergy & ENT Associates is seeking an audiologist to provide quality patient care services and to help us achieve our goal of providing the best patient hearing healthcare in the area and to improve our patient s quality of life. Our practice was established over 50 years ago and has a growing Audiology team. Audiologist will see pediatric and adult patients with referrals from our ENT and Allergy providers as well as area Primary Care referrals. Some travel in the Houston area will be required.
Work Activities:
Quarterly ENT meetings Audiology department meetings Quarterly Practice wide meetings Coordinating care with other professionals
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Performance and interpretation of: basic comprehensive audiometry, immittance, otoacoustic emission testing, conditioned play audiometry, behavioral observation audiometry, visual reinforcement audiometry, otoscopy, cerumen management, hearing instrument assessment, hearing instrument fitting, earmold impressions, selection and fitting of various recreational earplugs, real earmeasurement, hearing instrument test box/minor repairs/trouble shooting, Dix-Hallpike, Canolith Repositioning Maneuver. Interpretation and counseling of findings to patient and/or family and/or caregiver. Collaborate with team of physicians, office manager and medical staff to provide quality patient careservices. Knowledge of vestibular etiologies; provide appropriate recommendations. Knowledge of tinnitus etiologies and available treatment options; provide appropriate recommendations. Knowledge of cochlear implant and bone anchored hearing devices, evaluations, appropriate recommendations, selection, mapping & follow up care as part of the Cochlear Provider Network. Maintain and keep systematic records of services provided
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism Doctor of Audiology Current Texas license as Audiologist Two years related experience with medical specialty Ear, Nose and Throat preferred
