Job Description
Overview:
The Hearing Health Clinic/Bellingham ENT in Bellingham, Washington, is looking for a full-time audiologist. Located in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, the Hearing Health Clinic has been known for providing quality hearing healthcare for over 25 years. The clinic is a division of Bellingham ENT and is located between two major cities: Seattle, Washington, and Vancouver, British Columbia. The Audiologist will be part of a team of three audiologists, seven otolaryngology physicians, and one physician assistant. The role will primarily consist of treatment of hearing loss through providing hearing aid services, but will also include diagnostic testing for the ENT physicians. There is an opportunity for cochlear implant services as well. Audiologists can expect a busy, fast-paced clinic with plenty of administrative time allotted. Patient population will primarily be adults with limited pediatric patients.Responsibilities:
Performing comprehensive audiological evaluations, including speech in noise tests, MCL and UCL tests, speech reception threshold, and word recognition tests. Performing and interpreting Distortion Product Otoacoustic Emission Screenings (DPOAEs). Interpreting and reporting test results to determine hearing loss type and degree, both in written and verbal form. Counseling and recommending appropriate treatment plans with the patient. Fitting and programming hearing aids based on diagnostic findings and patient needs. Fitting and programming of Osseointegrated Auditory Devices; BAHA. Optional cochlear implant candidacy testing, counseling, mapping, and follow up. Maintaining patient records by recording and updating evaluations, changes, progress, and treatments. Requirements Master's degree and/or Doctorate in Audiology, licensed in the state of Washington, or able to obtain licensure Excellent communication skills Excellent time management and organization skillsSimilar jobs in Bellingham, WA
