Primary Location Gillette, WY USA Department MHMC - Gillette Primary Care Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Starting Pay Rate Range $18.38 - $21.13 (Determined by the knowledge, skills, and experience of the applicant.) Job Summary Audiology Assistants role is to assist the Audiologist by enhancing efficiency and productivity of the practice. These services include, but are not limited to, providing follow-up hearing aid care, outreach programs, and assisting with various clerical and administrative tasks. Audiology Assistants are sometimes called upon to perform duties other than their traditional audiological responsibilities to ensure continuity of operations throughout Monument Health. Audiology Assistants are trained professional who provide assistance in the evaluation or treatment of those suffering from disorders associated with hearing and balance difficulties. An Audiology Assistant's key role at Monument Health is to support the Audiologist by carrying out routine tasks so that the Audiologist is available for assessing and treating ailments which require a higher level of diagnostic skill. They improve access to patient care by increasing availability of audiological services, increasing productivity by reducing wait times, enhancing patient satisfaction, and reducing costs by performing tasks that do not require the skills of an audiologist. Job Description Essential Functions:

Maintain audiology office and test equipment, organize and order supplies, manage daily schedule to include rescheduling patients to ensure an efficient clinic.

Clean multi-patient use audiological supplies and devices and disinfect booth, chairs, transducers, etc.

Counsel patients on care and use of their devices. Troubleshoot patient equipment issues including hearing aids, cell phone and accessory devices.

During patient visits clean and test hearing aids, change tubingand perform basic repairs of hearing aids and when needed create and submit repair orders.

Audiology Assistants should not perform diagnostic evaluations or screenings or program/re-program hearing aids unless working under licensure of Audiologist as part of an audiology certification program.

All other duties as assigned.

Additional Requirements Preferred:

Education - High School Diploma/GED Equivalent Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
