Category Schools - RBT - Registered Behavior Technician Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful contract opportunity supporting students as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) within a dynamic school environment near Hazel Green, AL. This position begins as soon as possible and continues through late May 2027, offering consistent full-time hours (35 hours per week) and the chance to make a genuine impact under BCBA supervision provided by the district.
Key Qualifications:
1-2 years of experience working as an RBT, specifically in school settings Active or inactive RBT certification (expired certifications cannot be accepted; verification will be required) Ability to work according to a traditional school schedule (full days, with no late arrivals, early departures, or modified hours) Flexibility regarding interview and placement processes as assignments may be determined on short notice Reliable transportation to and from the assigned school location Willingness to assist students with bathroom or toileting needs, if necessary Comfort working with students who may require physical intervention Experience collecting behavioral or classroom data
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver behavior intervention strategies and support as directed by supervising BCBAs Collect and record data in classroom settings to monitor student progress Engage with students who have diverse and complex behavioral needs Support teachers and other staff in implementing behavioral plans Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment What you'll receive: Consistent full-time hours during the school year BCBA supervision and ongoing support
