Job Description

Contra Costa County | $24.00 - $30.00 Per Hour | Part-time |
Paid Training Behavior Technicians:
Starting pay is $24/hour after completing our 40-Hour Training Program, increasing to $26/hour upon passing the RBT exam. Additional pay increase eligibility after 90 days of RBT certification.
Registered Behavior Technicians:
Starting pay $28. Eligible for pay increase up to $30 after 90 days of employment.
Schedule:

Job Summary The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) plays a crucial role in a client's overall improvement. The RBT works directly with the clients to improve their communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors by implementing behavior intervention plans designed by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst. This position requires dedication, patience, and a commitment to ethical and effective treatment practices. Key Responsibilities Deliver 1:1 ABA therapy to clients in various settings, including home, school, and community. Implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) under the supervision of a BCBA. Accurately collect, record, and report data on client progress and communicate observations to the BCBA. Assist in developing client-specific behavior reduction and skill acquisition goals based on assessment results. Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times. Attend ongoing training, supervision , and team meetings to ensure the highest level of service delivery. Ensure a safe and structured environment for clients during all sessions. Effectively communicate with clients, caregivers, and team members to support treatment goals. Adhere to ethical guidelines set by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) and Bright Horizon Inc's internal policies.
Qualifications & Requirements Education:
High school diploma or equivalent (required); Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field (preferred).
Legal Requirements:
Ability to pass a background check, TB test , and obtain CPR/First Aid certification.
Transportation:
Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license for travel to client locations.
Experience :
Prior experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities (preferred).
Skills:
Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Certification:
Active RBT certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) . (preferred)
Training:
Completion of a 40-hour RBT training course and passing the competency assessment.

Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

Various Client Locations (Home, School, and Community-Based)

$24.00 - $30.00 per hour
