Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with individuals with autism and developmental disabilities, implementing behavior intervention plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles. This role is essential in providing support to clients in various settings, fostering their development and enhancing their quality of life. Duties Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Collect and document data on client progress and behaviors accurately and consistently. Assist clients in developing social skills, communication, and daily living skills. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations while handling medical documentation and records. Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to client care. Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge of behavioral health practices and special education strategies. Provide support in crisis situations by utilizing de-escalation techniques as needed. Qualifications Experience or education in behavioral health, special education, or a related field is preferred. Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques and principles. Knowledge of medical terminology and documentation practices. Understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality. Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is highly desirable. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
