In this role, you will work directly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement behavior intervention plans based on applied behavior analysis (ABA). Your passion for teaching, patience, and commitment to patient care will help foster meaningful progress and positive outcomes. Responsibilities Implement individualized behavior intervention plans designed by supervising behavior analysts to promote skill development and reduce challenging behaviors. Collect accurate data on client behaviors and progress, ensuring all medical documentation and records are maintained in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, feeding, toileting, and other self-care routines, fostering independence. Use evidence-based behavioral therapy techniques to teach communication, social skills, and functional life skills tailored to each client's needs. Collaborate with team members, families, and caregivers to ensure consistency in treatment approaches and provide training on behavior management strategies. Maintain detailed documentation of sessions, progress notes, care plans, and medical records to support ongoing treatment planning. Adhere strictly to confidentiality standards and HIPAA guidelines while managing sensitive client information. Requirements Prior experience or training in behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), or working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred. Strong understanding of special education principles and behavior management techniques. Ability to work effectively with children and individuals with autism in various settings. Excellent data collection skills for tracking client progress accurately during sessions. Compassionate attitude with a focus on patient care and promoting positive behavioral change. Knowledge of medical terminology, documentation practices, and familiarity with HIPAA compliance is a plus. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications in behavior analysis or related fields are advantageous.
