Under the direction of the appropriately assigned supervisor, the Behavior Consultant works with clients and their families/caregivers in a natural environment (home and/or community) to achieve behavioral changes. The candidate should be using reliable transportation. Duties and Responsibilities Work in a collaborative team for clients. The team consist of BCBA Supervisor, master's degree Coordinator, and parent/caregiver/professional associated with the client Work in a variety of environments with children and dependent adults living with developmental disabilities Environments include client's home and other community settings Implement behavior intervention plans (composed by Board Certified Behavior Analyst) directly with caregivers/guardians to facilitate de-escalation of targeted challenging behaviors during and outside of sessions Educate parents, caregivers, and/or other professionals on basic applied behavior analytic principles to facilitate stronger comprehension of the behavior plans to better manage challenging behaviors and generalization of principles learned Coordinate with all team members to implement behavior intervention plans in and between sessions to reach clients' objectives Perform all related responsibilities as requested by Supervisor, Program Director, and Applied Behavior Analysis Consultation Services, Inc. administrative staff Ability/discipline/work ethic to meet all required tasks promptly Position Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent (Required) Experience working with dependent individuals with developmental disabilities and/or psychiatric diagnoses (Preferred) A willingness to be trained and interest in working with the population
