Job Description

Category Schools - RBT - Registered Behavior Technician Job Type Contract A full-time Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) opportunity is available in Whittier, CA, for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year. This contract position runs from April 6, 2026, through June 4, 2026, with working hours from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The focus of this role is providing 1:1 support to an elementary-aged male student with autism and severe behavioral challenges, including potential emotional disabilities. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with students exhibiting severe behaviors and possess strong skills in behavior de-escalation techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized behavioral support in accordance with established treatment plans. Implement behavior intervention strategies to address severe and challenging behaviors. Monitor and document student progress and behavioral responses. Collaborate with the educational team and supervisors to optimize student outcomes. Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). Proven experience working with students who have autism and severe behavioral needs. Strong understanding of behavior management and de-escalation techniques. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work effectively within an educational setting.
Location:
Whittier, California - within an elementary school setting. This position offers an immediate opportunity to make a significant impact on a student's educational experience.
