Job Description

Overall Responsibilities:
The Mid-Level Practitioner (MLP) plays a critical role in supporting the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services. This position works under the supervision of a BCBA to provide direct treatment, assist in clinical programming, and support the training and development of Behavior Technicians (BTs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs). The MLP supports learner progress by implementing treatment plans, assisting with assessments, and ensuring consistent, high-quality service delivery across assigned caseloads. This role also partners closely with clinical, scheduling, and operations teams to ensure effective service coordination and authorization utilization.
Primary Functions Include:
Direct Client Services Provide direct one-to-one ABA therapy to assigned learners Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the BCBA Monitor learner progress and support skill acquisition and behavior reduction goals Ensure sessions are conducted in accordance with Sunrise ABA standards Clinical Support & Programming Assist with functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and skills assessments Support the development and modification of behavior intervention plans Collect, review, and analyze data to support clinical decision-making Maintain accurate and timely documentation in CentralReach Supervision & Team Support Provide guidance and support to BTs and RBTs during service delivery Assist in training staff on behavior intervention strategies and data collection procedures Model appropriate clinical and professional behavior Provide feedback to team members to support performance and development Authorization & Service Delivery Support utilization of authorized hours through effective scheduling and service delivery Participate in client observation, supervision sessions, and caregiver collaboration Partner with scheduling and operations teams to address gaps in service delivery Collaboration & Communication Communicate effectively with clinical leadership, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams Participate in team meetings, trainings, and case reviews Escalate concerns appropriately following Sunrise ABA protocols
Qualifications:
Skills/Abilities Strong understanding of ABA principles and intervention strategies Ability to implement treatment plans with consistency and fidelity Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to coach, guide, and support BT/RBT staff Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to analyze data and support clinical decision-making Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficiency with electronic health records (CentralReach preferred) Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, ABA, or related field required Minimum of 1-2+ years of experience implementing behavior intervention services Completion of at least 12 semester credit hours in behavior analysis or related coursework (or equivalent BCaBA coursework) Active RBT certification preferred , not required Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred Experience supporting, training, or mentoring staff preferred Additional Requirements Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and/or weekends as needed Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within assigned region Ability to provide in-person services and supervision as required Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, and move for extended periods of time Ability to lift up to 20 pounds Ability to engage in physical activity as required in a clinical setting Ability to operate a computer and related office equipment
