In this energetic and rewarding position, you will implement individualized treatment plans, assist clients with daily living skills, and support their progress toward greater independence. Duties Implement behavior intervention plans based on principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Collect and record data on client behaviors, progress, and responses to interventions accurately and consistently to inform treatment adjustments. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, dressing, feeding, and toileting, promoting independence and self-care skills. Support clients during teaching sessions, utilizing evidence-based strategies to enhance learning in areas like communication, social skills, and behavior management. Maintain detailed medical documentation, care plans, and behavioral records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies. Foster a positive, patient-centered environment by demonstrating empathy, patience, and effective communication tailored to each individual's needs. Collaborate with team members to develop and update individualized treatment goals aligned with each client's developmental needs and family preferences. Qualifications Prior experience or training in behavioral therapy, special education, or working with children with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required; we provide comprehensive training for all new team members. Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management techniques, and data collection methods is highly desirable. Ability to work effectively with children and individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities in a compassionate manner. Strong understanding of medical terminology, medical records management, and confidentiality protocols such as HIPAA. Excellent teaching skills combined with patience and adaptability to meet diverse client needs. High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or willingness to obtain certification is required within specified timeframes. Reliable transportation and the ability to work flexible hours including afternoons or weekends may be necessary.
