In this role, you will work closely with children and young individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder, to implement behavioral therapy strategies that promote positive growth and development. Your expertise in applied behavior analysis (ABA) and behavioral health will be essential in conducting assessments, collecting data, and developing tailored intervention plans. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children while gaining valuable experience in special education and medical documentation. Responsibilities Conduct behavioral assessments and diagnostic evaluations to identify individual needs and strengths. Develop, implement, and monitor personalized behavior intervention plans based on applied behavior analysis principles. Collect, analyze, and document data related to client behaviors to measure progress and inform treatment adjustments. Collaborate with families, educators, and healthcare professionals to ensure consistency across environments and support systems. Maintain accurate medical records, patient assessments, and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist with intake procedures, including initial evaluations and ongoing progress reports. Provide patient care by supporting clients during therapy sessions, ensuring a safe and supportive environment. Skills Strong knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and applied behavior analysis methodologies. Experience working with children, especially those with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder. Proficiency in data collection methods and analyzing behavioral data for progress tracking. Familiarity with medical terminology, medical documentation practices, and electronic health records management. Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of client information. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and families.
