Job Description
Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team in providing high-quality behavioral health services. The RBT will work closely with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement individualized treatment plans. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in clients' lives by applying evidence-based behavioral interventions and supporting their growth and development. The ideal candidate will have experience with behavioral therapy, working with children, and a strong understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA). Duties Implement behavior intervention plans developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) using ABA techniques. Collect and record data on client behaviors and progress to inform treatment adjustments. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as grooming, dressing, and communication skills. Support clients during therapy sessions, ensuring a safe and positive environment. Collaborate with team members, families, and caregivers to ensure consistency in treatment approaches. Maintain accurate medical documentation, including progress notes, care plans, and behavioral records, adhering to HIPAA regulations. Use behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors. Participate in ongoing training related to behavioral health, special education, medical terminology, and data collection methods. Requirements Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or eligibility for certification. Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, especially autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management techniques, and special education principles. Ability to assist with ADLs and implement behavior intervention plans effectively. Strong skills in data collection, medical documentation, and maintaining detailed medical records. Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to behavioral health settings. Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality and privacy. Excellent teaching skills with patience and empathy for working with diverse populations. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment. Pay:
