Actualize Behavior Alternatives offers support to individuals and families affected by developmental and intellectual differences, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), mental health challenges, and social-emotional struggles. We work with children and adults of all abilities and provide behavior interventions where they are most effective, in the home and community.
About the role:
The RBT will work in the client's home or with them in the community in a 1:1 setting to help them work on obtaining skills or modifying their behaviors in order to reach specific individual goals as identified in the treatment plan. The caseload would be youth clients between the ages of 3 and 20.
Position Functions and Details:
$$$ Competitive pay. Our therapists earn between $26-$32+/hour depending on levels of education and experience, receive mileage reimbursement.
Flexibility:
This position allows for the flexibility to create your own schedule, give input into which clients you work with, and work in a variety of settings. Create or collaborate in the development of the client's treatment plan then work 1:1 with the client to implement the plan. Part-time 15-30 hours per week After-school and evenings required (2-6 or 7 PM and an optional weekend day) with the possibility of additional morning/daytime hours. Monitor, observe, and record behavioral aspects that occur during a client session. Provide strong emotional support to clients and their teams during therapy relationship. Facilitate change in lifestyle for clients with behavioral concerns. Diverse caseload working with a combination of teenagers and young children. Collaborate with a team of professionals and be an active IDT member.
Required Qualifications:
Applicant shall at least have a high school diploma and be an active Registered Behavior Technician with the BACB. Bachelor's degree and current enrollment in a counseling or clinical social work master's program is strongly preferred Hold a valid RBT certificate registered with the BACB Have previous behavior modification training/experience. Have a valid driver's license and dependable transportation. Local travel to and from client's homes is required. Be able to pass a background check. Must be reliable and dependable. Must be able to work independently with minimal support/supervision. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally within an Interdisciplinary Team and with supervisors and colleagues. Excellent interpersonal skills to build strong and trusting relationships with clients and their teams. Must be compassionate and patient and have an authentic desire to commit to helping clients reach their goals.
Preferred Qualifications:
Hold a bachelor's or master's degree in counseling, psychology or MSW or actively pursuing a master's degree in a related field Experience providing ABA in-home '
