Job description Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work directly with individuals with autism and other developmental disorders, implementing behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This role is crucial in providing support to clients and helping them achieve their behavioral goals through structured programs. Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans as directed by the supervising BCBA.
- Collect and record data on client progress and behaviors in accordance with established protocols.
- Assist in the development of care plans that address the unique needs of each client.
- Provide education and support to clients and their families regarding behavioral management techniques.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation to ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure a cohesive approach to behavioral therapy.
- Engage clients in therapeutic activities that promote skill development and positive behavior change.
- Monitor client safety and well-being during sessions, addressing any concerns promptly. Experience
- Previous experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum or in a behavioral health setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and practices is highly desirable.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining confidentiality in all aspects of client care.
- Experience in data collection methods related to behavioral therapy is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective collaboration with clients, families, and team members.
- A passion for educating others about behavior management strategies is a key component of this role.
